Responsibilities
- Analyze and manage client profitability.
- Research and continue education in all areas of accounting and technology used internally and by clients.
- Perform bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll services as needed for multiple complex clients or clients in transition.
- Understand how to accurately create and correct all aspects of the Balance Sheet.
- Optimize and organize the chart of accounts for different business models.
- Understand how to accurately record and report complex payroll activity via journal entries, including pre- and post-tax benefits, insurances, garnishments, etc.
- Support on-boarding of new clients to ensure adequate support to the primary bookkeeper.
- Have experience in complex QBO clean-up, and not only understand accounting, but also understand how QBO software reacts.
- Create forecasts and budgets in excel from quickbooks financials, and be able to decipher and analyze client KPI's
- Onboard new employees and ensure their successful transition to the company.
- Interview candidates for new positions.
- Co-lead staff meetings and training.
- Support other areas of the company such as Sales, Operations and Systems, Workflows, HR and Admin as needed to continue to develop infrastructures of the company. We are growing FAST, doubling and tripling YOY.
Qualifications
- Three years or more of proven experience working with complex accounting and bookkeeping.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (accounting field preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including profit & loss management, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, expense management, and fiscal strategy development.
- Deep understanding of technical accounting standards such as GAAP is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modeling, risk management, regulatory reporting, and finance activities like mergers & acquisitions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization; excellent negotiation skills for business development opportunities.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling and analysis.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks online is required.
- Exceptional and proactive communication for clear report writing and interpretation of complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a dynamic work enviroment with the desire for continuous improvement.
- Experience in building and managing a team is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly desirable.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
