Our client is a fast-growing architecture firm, founded in 2025, specializing in multifamily, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout New York City.
The team has grown to 12 professionals and combines local expertise with a distributed production model, allowing us to deliver high-quality projects efficiently while maintaining a highly personalized client experience.
As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced architectural leader to work directly with the Founder and play a key role in strengthening project delivery, mentoring team members, enhancing QA/QC processes, and helping build the operational foundation for the firm's next stage of growth.
Position Overview
This is not a traditional project management role.
We are seeking an architectural professional who can provide leadership across multiple projects while ensuring quality, consistency, and accountability throughout the design and production process.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading architectural teams, reviewing construction documents, implementing quality control standards, mentoring staff, and helping projects move efficiently from design through delivery.
While New York City experience is highly valued, we are open to exceptional candidates from other markets who bring strong technical leadership and project management expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight across multiple active architectural projects
- Review drawings and construction documents for quality, accuracy, and coordination
- Establish and maintain QA/QC standards across the organization
- Mentor and develop architects, designers, and production staff
- Coordinate internal teams, consultants, engineers, and external stakeholders
- Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues
- Improve project workflows, communication, and operational efficiency
- Support resource planning and project prioritization
- Assist in developing scalable systems and best practices as the company grows
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of architectural project management or leadership experience
- Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong QA/QC experience within an architectural environment
- Proven success managing and developing teams
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and project delivery
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience coordinating consultants, engineers, contractors, and clients
- Proficiency with Revit and architectural production workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading distributed or international teams
- NYC architectural project experience
- NYC zoning and code knowledge
- Construction administration experience
- Licensed Architect (RA)
- Studio leadership, technical leadership, or operations management experience
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
