Job Overview
The upholstery team is an integral part of Adventure Wagon's larger production operation, working in unison with our CNC, assembly, and install departments to generate custom panel and trim kits for customer vans. This role contributes to the team's daily operations, with a focus on on-time completion, quality control, and maintaining a high standard of organization and productivity within the workspace.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, sales orders, build assemblies, drawings, and templates, performing routine tasks consistently and attending to detail to ensure quality control.
- Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics, foam, vinyl, and other materials for production.
- Learn the techniques of spraying and tucking fabric.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards for fit, finish, and functionality.
- Perform light assembly using typical shop tools (training provided).
- Move and lift wooden panels and plastic trim, regularly lifting items up to 60 lbs.
- Maintain organized workstations and follow established housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Assist other production departments as needed to support company objectives and production schedules.
- Communicate effectively within the team and with management to stay aligned with company goals.
- Participate in cross-training to support operational flexibility and contribute to process improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and fabrication methods.
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines and sewing fabric, vinyl, and other upholstery textiles.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials to specification.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Positive, can-do attitude and detail-/quality-focused mindset.
- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or shop environment.
- Basic computer literacy is helpful.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in upholstery, sewing, manufacturing, marine/automotive/furniture upholstery, or a related field preferred.
- Experience operating industrial sewing equipment strongly preferred.
