Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical system services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC and related mechanical systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults in electrical components.
- Repair mechanical systems including pumps, fans, motors, valves, and plumbing fixtures with precision.
- Utilize welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants properly and maintaining certification standards.
- Diagnose complex issues involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized systems; perform necessary repairs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; communicate effectively with team members and clients about system status and recommendations.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC/R systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical systems repair and building automation systems.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical issues accurately.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems relevant to HVAC applications; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience working with HVAC/R equipment is essential.
- Ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely; experience in property maintenance or appliance repair is advantageous.
- Experience with welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with boiler operation and maintenance; mechanical mechanic experience is highly valued.
