Job Duties:
As an STNA in an LTC/SNF setting, your responsibilities will include:
- Personal Care: Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility, including transferring, walking, and using wheelchairs.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Check and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Meal Assistance: Support residents during meal times, including feeding those who need help.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Documentation: Accurately document care provided and report any changes in resident conditions to the nursing staff.
- Health Monitoring: Observe residents for any changes in health status and communicate these to the nursing team.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure residents' rooms and common areas are clean and safe.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Must have an active Ohio STNA license.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience working as an STNA.
