Position Summary
CACL Federal Credit Union is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Member Service Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to members while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing
- Maintain and balance an accurate cash drawer daily
- Assist members with opening new accounts and completing required paperwork
- Answer member questions regarding products, services, and credit union policies
- Cross-sell credit union products and services when appropriate
- Assist members with direct deposit forms and account maintenance requests
- Help resolve member inquiries related to EFT and ACH transactions
- Complete Verification of Account requests and other required documentation
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct members to the appropriate department when necessary
- Maintain accurate records and perform filing and administrative tasks as needed
- Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA and OFAC compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer and office equipment operation
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain visual and auditory awareness in an office environment
