CPA Reviewer – Individual & Fiduciary TaxPosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced CPA Reviewer to support our growing tax practice. Our firm specializes in individual (Form 1040) and fiduciary (Form 1041) tax returns, and we are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can help uphold high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all client engagements.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a review-focused mindset, and the ability to provide clear guidance to preparers while ensuring compliance with U.S. tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review individual (Form 1040) and fiduciary (Form 1041) tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Assist with tax planning, tax projections, and tax resolution matters as needed
- Review workpapers and supporting documentation to ensure technical accuracy and proper substantiation
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to tax preparers and staff
- Identify errors, omissions, or inconsistencies and ensure timely corrections
- Maintain consistency in tax positions and documentation across engagements
Qualifications
- Active CPA license (required)
- Strong technical knowledge of individual and fiduciary taxation
- Prior experience reviewing Forms 1040/1041 in a public accounting or high-volume tax environment
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to mentor, support, and collaborate with team members
