Position: Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
This Maintenance Technician joins our team with a clear path toward a Maintenance Supervisor role. The position is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities during the day shift to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of corrugated manufacturing equipment. This position supervises maintenance technicians, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and works closely with production teams to minimize downtime while maximizing equipment performance and plant productivity.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct maintenance technicians and contractors during day shift operations.
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related equipment issues.
- Ensure optimal performance of corrugators, flexo folder gluers, die cutters, conveyors, balers, and supporting plant equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production leadership to minimize operational disruptions.
- Monitor equipment reliability and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history within the CMMS system.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and maintenance training programs.
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
- Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades, and plant improvement initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for recurring equipment failures.
- Support emergency repairs and plant shutdown activities as required.
- Develop employee skills through coaching, training, and performance management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.· Above average mechanical knowledge of gears and gear ratios· Ability to weld and fabricate· Able to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals· Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits including three phase· Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics· Ability to plumb and install air and water lines· Some carpentry skills needed· Forklift certification and ability to maintain certification· Problem solving, time management, and communication skills a must· Ability to positively work with others· Punctuality and good attendance is essential to ensure project deadlines are met· PPE (safety shoes, safety glasses, etc..) must be worn· Pre-employment drug screening and post offer background check is requiredThe final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
