Erdman Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced office environment, and understands the importance of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with dealership accounting knowledge will receive priority consideration.
Responsibilities
- Process daily accounting transactions accurately and efficiently
- Post deals and process vehicle sales paperwork
- Reconcile schedules and general ledger accounts
- Handle title, registration, and other dealership documentation as assigned
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Support the accounting office with additional administrative duties
Qualifications
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required
- Automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in a dealership management system (Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Professional attitude with excellent communication skills
- High level of accuracy and confidentiality
