Position Overview
Branch Tree Service is looking for an experienced Seasonal Plant Health Care Applicator to be based at our Washington Twp location. This position focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of insect and disease issues in trees and shrubs throughout residential and commercial properties.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates professionally with customers, and can operate independently while representing the company well in the field.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan pesticide applicator license in:
- Core
- 3B Ornamental (3A is a plus)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to operate spray and application equipment safely
- Knowledge of tree and shrub insects, diseases, and treatment methods
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Chauffeur’s license is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with foliar sprays, soil injections, trunk injections, and fertilization treatments
- DOT medical card or ability to obtain one
- Experience speaking with customers and making treatment recommendations
Responsibilities
- Apply plant health care treatments safely and accurately
- Diagnose insect, disease, and environmental tree/shrub issues
- Operate spray trucks and application equipment
- Maintain accurate treatment records
- Communicate with customers regarding treatment plans and recommendations
- Assist with monitoring plant health throughout the season
- Maintain clean and organized equipment and vehicles
