Job Summary
Sushi Maki is hiring Cashiers to support daily front-of-house operations at our Coral Gables restaurant.
This is a guest-facing position focused on friendly service, order accuracy, speed, and teamwork in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Accurately enter and process orders using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash and card transactions carefully and accurately.
- Pack food orders and confirm all items are complete.
- Distribute takeout orders to guests and delivery drivers.
- Answer basic menu questions and promote current specials.
- Maintain clean and organized cashier and guest areas.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
- Assist other team members during busy service periods.
- Follow company food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned by restaurant management.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and guest-service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Able to remain calm and organized during busy periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
