Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher's Assistant to join our educational team. This role is essential in supporting classroom activities, assisting teachers, and ensuring a nurturing environment for students. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for childhood development and education, with the ability to communicate effectively with both children and staff.
Position may require applicant to work in multiple rooms throughout the day. Flexibility is a must.
Duties
- Work scheduled shift, 12pm-6pm
- Assist teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide care and supervision for young children in a childcare setting.
- Support literacy education initiatives by engaging students in reading and writing activities.
- Facilitate classroom management by helping maintain a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with special education staff to support students with diverse needs.
- Monitor student behavior and provide guidance as necessary to promote positive interactions.

Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with literacy education techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in special education or working with children with varying abilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments as a floater, providing support wherever needed.
