Title: Assembly Operator
Position Description/Responsibilities:
Perform assigned duties at assembly stations to make sure product complies with specifications. In the case of absence, another trained Assembly Operator will assume duties. The employee wilI also follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) rules and procedures pertaining to this job as outlined in the training program.
Position Authority:
This position has the authority to stop production at his/her work station if there is question or concern about the acceptability of materials, assemblies or processes that affect the quality or safety of Viant products.
Essential Functions:
Work in assigned assembly area on daily basis.
Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) Procedures.
Follow instructions given by Supervisor and Group Leader.
Understands and follow One Piece Flow and 5’s systems.
Understand and Run A Kan Ban system for inventory parts in assembly area.
Makes sure production comply with specifications for quality requirements.
Notifies Group Leaders and Supervisors if any problems arise with product.
Ensures correct packaging of product.
Fills out appropriate labels and paperwork related to the assembly assignments.
Performs any work related duty assigned by immediate supervisor.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Performs any related duty assigned by immediate supervisor.

Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, shop-order instructions, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects.
Use of common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved.
Frequently move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
