Overview

Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, plumbing connections, refrigeration circuits, and mechanical components to identify root causes of failures.
- Install new HVAC equipment and ductwork following HVAC design specifications and schematics while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting involving refrigeration systems like ammonia refrigeration units and appliance repairs as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting inspections, repairs, parts used, and system performance.
- Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to emergency service requests.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience combined with service technician experience in HVAC or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R systems, boilers, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Proficiency with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments essential for equipment repair.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerants; additional certifications in HVAC design or ammonia refrigeration are a plus.
- Experience working with electrical systems including wiring diagrams and electrical diagnostics tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) for field service operations; safe driving record required.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
