Job description:
We are seeking an MRI Technologist, 5-15 hours/week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, ensuring the highest quality of diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort, able to check patients in/out and work independently.
Required to have: Current: CPR, ARRT MR, AHCA background screening.
Duties
- Check patients in: Intake paperwork, scan patient ID, accept payment.
- Check patients out: Create MRI CD, scan paperwork into patient file, send images to radiologist.
- Be able to work independently, including opening and closing office when needed.
- Follow morning and end of day routine procedures.
- Keep a clean work environment.
- Perform MRI scans on patients per physician's orders.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort & safety throughout the imaging process.
- Adhere to safety protocols/procedures.
- Maintain equipment functionality by performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating maintenance as needed.
- Keep accurate records of patient information, scan results, and any relevant medical history in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in MRI technology and techniques.
