Technical Coach / Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)Position :
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Coach / Senior Software Engineer to help drive engineering excellence across development teams. This role is ideal for a hands-on software engineering professional who enjoys mentoring teams, improving engineering practices, and enabling organizations to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with coaching and leadership skills to guide Agile teams, promote DevOps culture, and introduce modern software engineering practices while contributing directly to software development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor software engineering teams on modern development practices and Agile methodologies.
- Evaluate application architectures and recommend improvements to increase scalability, maintainability, and system performance.
- Facilitate engineering workshops, value stream mapping sessions, and technical discussions to identify process improvements.
- Help development teams reduce technical debt, improve software quality, and accelerate delivery.
- Promote engineering best practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), refactoring, automation, and clean code principles.
- Guide teams in adopting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Partner with engineering leadership to strengthen software delivery processes and engineering culture.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to software engineers and architects during design and implementation activities.
- Lead collaborative programming sessions such as pair programming and mob programming.
- Develop technical training materials and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve developer productivity and streamline software delivery workflows.
- Coach teams through technical challenges while encouraging continuous learning and innovation.
- Establish metrics to measure engineering effectiveness and delivery performance.
- Support cloud-native application development and modern distributed system architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong background working within Agile software development environments.
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or leading software engineering teams.
- Hands-on expertise in software development using Java and/or Python.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Practical experience with:
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Refactoring and software automation
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale distributed applications.
- Strong SQL knowledge and relational database design experience.
- Ability to analyze existing architectures and recommend technical improvements.

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
