Shift Description
- Monday – Friday, 7a – 4p
- Night call, 4p – 7a
- Saturday and Sunday 24-hour call coverage, 7a – 7a
- Night call and weekend call required
Requirements
- Indiana license
- NCCPA
- Local candidates – highly preferred
- Will not accept new graduates
Required Procedures / Skills
- Maquet vein harvesting
- Cardiothoracic surgery experience/skills including office, bedside and OR - Highly Preferred
Assignment Details
- OR only (first assist role) - Call for OR only; call back if needed
- Duties include assisting in surgery, writing prescriptions, rounding, ordering tests, pre-op physical exams, suture removal, and vein harvesting
- Daily responsibilities include hospital rounding followed by time in the OR
- Perform procedures including chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, wound care, and related bedside care
- Average patients per day: 10 outpatient and 5–8 inpatient
- EMR: Epic
