Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our healthcare facility with passion and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, including nurse managers and clinical teams, to ensure exceptional resident care and adherence to regulatory standards
- Develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including those requiring assisted living, hospice care, or home health services
- Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations
- Coordinate shift management to optimize staffing levels while maintaining quality care delivery across all shifts
- Manage clinical operations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate recordkeeping and reporting
- Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations such as Medicare requirements and state-specific licensing standards
- Facilitate ongoing training on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and documentation review to enhance team expertise
Requirements
- Proven nursing leadership experience within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Strong background in nursing administration with supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and long-term care policies
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, medical records management, and documentation best practices
- Demonstrated ability to develop care plans aligned with residents’ needs and medical conditions
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide clinical staff effectively
- In-depth understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and acute care procedures
- Experience managing care facility teams in accordance with state licensing standards and federal regulations
