Young private optometry practice in Kyle, TX is looking for a warm and friendly personality to join our growing optical team. Our focus is on independent eyewear lines, made in the USA products, performance/sports vision solutions, and high-quality service and materials.
Primary Duties:
- Optical sales (framestyling) and dispensing
- Adjusting and repairing glasses
- Verifying finished lenses are made to specifications
- Troubleshooting lens adaptation problems
- Process eyewear orders
- Maintain eyewear inventory
- Clean and maintain the optical space
- Prescription lens fabrication (edging lenses)
Supporting Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients
- Answer phones & schedule appointments
- Verify insurance benefits, review coverage with patients
Requirements:
- Warm, friendly personality and great customer service skills, both in person and on the phone
- Work effectively with coworkers
- Working knowledge of vision plans and health insurance
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Organized and detail oriented
- 2 years optical experience
- Clean background check
