- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- No weekends
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Urinalysis Technician to join our growing medical team in Broken Arrow. This position plays a vital role in our patient care process by operating our urine drug screening analyzer, processing laboratory documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely management of laboratory results.
The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, comfortable working with technology, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the urine drug screening analyzer
- Process and analyze urine drug screen specimens
- Retrieve laboratory results through the laboratory portal
- Upload and scan laboratory reports into patients' electronic medical records
- Submit and process prior authorizations for confirmatory drug testing when required
- Verify patient and specimen information for accuracy
- Maintain organized laboratory records and documentation
- Communicate with providers and staff regarding laboratory results as needed
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety protocols
- Perform other administrative and laboratory support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical office, laboratory, or healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
