Overview
The Instrument Commissioning Lead is responsible for leading instrumentation commissioning activities, including development of work packages, coordination of resources, and system startup execution in California.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of instrument commissioning work packages
- Coordinate Instrument CSU (Commissioning & Start-Up) activities
- Support loop checks planning and execution with automation teams
- Perform system scoping, tag validation, and documentation alignment
- Support FATs and vendor inspections
- Develop and field-verify commissioning procedures and checklists
- Support PSSR, walkdowns, ITP witnessing, and construction handover
- Coordinate vendor support and field activities
- Provide reporting, scheduling input, and workforce planning support
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, JSA/FLHA requirements, and training standards
Requirements
- 10+ years instrumentation commissioning experience
- Minimum 5 years as a Lead on O&G / gas processing projects
- Instrument journeyman ticket preferred
- Strong experience with instrumentation systems and commissioning execution
