Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research, analysis, and case preparation to support litigation and transactional matters.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials with precision.
- Perform data entry tasks related to case details, client information, and court deadlines to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Support legal discovery processes by organizing evidence, reviewing documents for relevance, and preparing materials for production.
- Communicate cheerfully and effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate appointments, gather information, and provide updates on case status.
Skills
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret legal documents and identify pertinent information.
- Proven paralegal experience or law office experience demonstrating familiarity with legal procedures.
- Excellent legal drafting skills for creating clear and precise legal documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and communication.
- Attention to detail in proofreading documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Experience with case management software such as iManage or similar platforms for organizing files efficiently.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, discovery processes, and document filing procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Effective client communication skills coupled with customer service orientation.
- Technical proficiency in word processing tools and familiarity with legal research databases.
- Administrative experience supporting law office operations including data entry and document management.
