Summary:
As the auto access technician apprentice you will work directly with a licensed certified master technician for all of the equipment that we install or service in these specialized accessible vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and service automotive access control , door locks, sensors, and related hardware.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and low-voltage guidelines; perform troubleshooting with hand tools and appropriate test equipment.
- Have understanding of hydraulic system operations
- Maintain and calibrate system components; document service actions and customer interactions for warranty and service records.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and local codes; communicate clearly with customers and team members to coordinate service tasks.
Qualifications
- Service technician background with hand tools
- Experience reading schematics and using test instruments
- Basic computer skills
