Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advanced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, efficient machining processes, and adherence to strict specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including 5-axis CNC machines, CNC lathes, and milling machines, utilizing advanced CAD/CAM software to bring innovative designs to life. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a passion for precision manufacturing, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as MasterCam or Esprit to produce complex parts with high precision.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, ensuring accurate translation into machine instructions.
- Set up machining tools and fixtures on CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and 5-axis CNC machines to optimize machining processes.
- Perform precise measurement and quality control using measurement instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify part dimensions against specifications.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve machining efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance workflow.
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or programming errors; adjust programs accordingly for optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, program revisions, and inspection reports to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming with proficiency in Fanuc controls; familiarity with other controls is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks; experience with CATIA is preferred.
- Expertise in CAM software for programming complex multi-axis machining operations including 5-axis CNC machines.
- Deep understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematic interpretation, and mechanical blueprint analysis.
- Mechanical knowledge of metal machining processes including electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling setup, and precision measurement techniques.
- Skilled in operating measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges for quality assurance.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to streamline production workflows effectively.
- Strong math skills essential for precise programming and measurement calculations; ability to interpret schematics accurately.
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to CNC lathe and milling machine operations; experience with CAD/CAM integration is advantageous.
Join us in shaping the future of precision manufacturing! We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment where innovation thrives and your expertise makes a tangible impact on our products’ quality and performance.
