Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Back Up School Guardian to support the safety and well-being of our students and staff. This role involves providing additional security coverage during peak times or when the primary guardian is unavailable, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to upholding our school’s positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring student arrivals, dismissals, and transitions to ensure safety and order
- Support the primary school guardian in supervising hallways, entrances, and common areas
- Respond promptly to any safety concerns or incidents, following established protocols
- Maintain visibility around campus to deter inappropriate behavior and promote a secure environment
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors to foster a positive atmosphere
- Support emergency procedures and assist with lockdown drills or other safety protocols as needed
- Complete any required reports or documentation related to safety incidents or observations
Experience
- Prior experience in school safety, security, or related roles is preferred but not required
- Strong observational skills with the ability to respond quickly and appropriately in various situations
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
- Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive environment that aligns with the school’s values
