Le Petit Four is a French family owned bakery, a story that started with a mom and a son quitting their tech job and building a French bakery together.
While the bakery is only 14 months old, it has become a very well-known brand in Wellesley, Needham and Greater Boston. Our bread and pastries are some of the best you can find in all of New England. Come try it for yourself!

We are currently recruiting:
Barista: Maintain a clean bar, make drinks confidently and accurately, engage customers while remaining detail oriented, be able to handle high stress and high volume environments, exercise knowledge of menu and Le Petit Four as a whole.
Shift: Early mornings 6 days a week - Tuesday through Sunday
IMPORTANT: We need people with availability, commitment, open to work on holidays + weekends and willing to work Tuesday through Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Operate an Eversys espresso machine, steam wand, grinders and other coffee-making equipment with precision while making consistent espresso drinks, teas, and more.
- Ensure high-quality standards and presentation are consistently met.
- Greet customers, take orders, answer questions and assist in anyway possible
- Set up bakery counter for morning and afternoon display while replenishing as needed
- Assist with packaging pastry orders and bakery items
- Restocking of cafe station (cups, lids, sugars, milks, straws, napkins, etc) as well as the cafe seating area
- Organizing shelf stock in their right storing area including storing and organizing away orders of coffee, paper goods, syrups, dairy/ non-dairy products while maintaining a first in first out system.
- Maintain a clean and organized cafe environment, follow health and safety guidelines
- Responds proactively in communicating with management on guest issues and guest satisfaction
- Keep consistency and cleanliness throughout a shift, understanding of sanitation practices and health department standards
- Bussing, dishwashing, sweep, mop, taking out the trash, disinfect all areas of the cafe, seating area, customer bathroom throughout shift
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all menu items, including allergens, preparation
- Keep track of daily/weekly inventory of product that needs re-ordering
- Properly adhering to open or close procedures and utilizing the tools provided, including checklists, utilizing proper communication channels, etc.
- Understanding of cash handling -opening/closing drawer and basic math skills
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 year experience in the field with proven experience in food service/ coffee shop/ food retail
- Professionalism when interacting with customers, management and team staff
- Must be able to take direction, highly motivated, be punctual and reliable, self starter, clean and organized
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 30 lb without assistance
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work schedules based on business needs and employee availability, weekend availability is required for FT/PT employees
- Up-selling special items, taking orders, and comfortably navigating a POS system (we use Square!)
Compensation & Benefits:
- $20 / hr guaranteed (can be more if tips exceed) - over the last 14 months, all front staff people have made $27.50+ per hour on average every single week.
