Job Description:
The Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of capital construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects across campus. This role assists Project Managers and campus leadership in ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with SUNY policies, New York State regulations, and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of capital projects from initiation through closeout. This includes planning, design, construction, turnover and post project support.

Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; provide regular status updates and generate any reports as needed

Coordinate communication between internal campus departments, SUCF, consultants, contractors, and vendors

Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports

Properly file all associated project documentation

Support and assist in associated project procurements in accordance with SUNY Delhi and New York State guidelines

Monitor project compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and campus policies

Assist with site visits, inspections, and project meetings

Directly oversee all aspects of construction of capital projects on campus to ensure contractor(s) are following contract documents

Responsible for safety and overall capital construction sites on campus

Review invoices and assist with payment processing and budget tracking for capital projects

Maintain accurate project records and filing system

Provide administrative and logistical support for the capital department

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field
Job Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in project coordination, construction, facilities, or a related area

Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in project coordination, construction, facilities, or a related area

Experience working in higher education, public sector, or unionized environments

Familiarity with New York State procurement and contracting procedures

Knowledge of construction processes, drawings, and project lifecycle

Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar)
-
Understanding of applicable building codes and safety regulations
