Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and personable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong full-service restaurant experience, excellent cocktail and beverage knowledge, and understands the importance of creating a polished and welcoming guest experience.
Our bartenders are responsible for providing attentive, knowledgeable service to guests seated at the bar while also efficiently preparing beverages for the dining room and outdoor bar. We are looking for someone who can balance hospitality, speed, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Provide full food and beverage service to guests seated at the bar
- Maintain strong knowledge of the cocktail, wine, beer, and food menus
- Make knowledgeable recommendations and confidently answer guest questions
- Prepare service-bar beverages accurately and efficiently for dining room staff
- Properly open, pour, and serve wine and other beverages
- Monitor guests and practice responsible alcohol service at all times
- Accurately enter orders and process guest payments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout the shift
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work
- Restock liquor, wine, beer, glassware, garnishes, and other bar supplies as needed
- Follow proper sanitation, food safety, and alcohol-service procedures
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, bussers, kitchen staff, and management
- Work as part of the team to ensure smooth service throughout the restaurant
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Create a warm, memorable experience that encourages guests to return
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant required
- Upscale or fine-dining experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Comfortable providing full food service at the bar
- Ability to multitask and remain organized during high-volume service
- Strong communication and guest-service skills
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must meet all applicable requirements for responsible alcohol service
