We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and entrepreneurial Associate Optometrist to step into this new office, help build its legacy, and provide top-tier vision care to our growing community in Essex County. Key Responsibilities
· Perform comprehensive eye and vision examinations for pediatric through geriatric patients.
· Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, and diabetic retinopathy.
· Fit specialty contact lenses (scleral, ortho-k, multifocal) based on your interest and experience.
· Provide pre- and post-operative care for refractive and cataract surgery patients.
· Partner with our optical team to recommend the best lens options for patient visual and lifestyle needs.
· Maintain accurate, detailed electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications & Requirements
· Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
· Active, New Jersey state optometry license (or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date).
· Therapeutic pharmaceutical agent (TPA) certification to treat and manage ocular diseases.
· Exceptional communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused bedside manner.
· Desire to be a foundational part of a brand-new practice location.
