Machine Operator – Temp to Hire
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a leading manufacturer in Huntley, IL, is seeking Machine Operators to join their team! This is a great opportunity to work with a company that values safety, teamwork, and long-term career growth.
Position Details:
Pay: $18.50 – $19.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production machinery, inspecting parts for quality, and ensuring products meet specifications. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, tape measures, and other measurement tools.
- Utilize the metric system for part measurements and adjustments.
- Monitor machines for proper operation and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Assist with material handling, setup, and cleanup as needed.
- Wear proper PPE throughout the entire shift and follow all safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use inspection tools such as calipers.
- Familiarity with the metric system.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Open to recent high school graduates with a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
