Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatment
- Provide basic animal care, including feeding and grooming
- Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, kennels, and equipment
- Monitor animal behavior and condition
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Assist with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in animal care is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in handling dogs and other animals
- Familiarity with kennel operations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Dog training experience
- Equine knowledge
