Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Journeyman Drywall Finisher and bring your expertise in finishing, smoothing, and detailing drywall surfaces to life! As a key contributor on construction sites, you’ll ensure high-quality finishes that meet project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. Your hands-on experience in drywall finishing, plastering, and related trades will help us deliver outstanding results on every project.
Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams, corners, and surfaces with accuracy and efficiency.
- Sand and smooth finished drywall surfaces to achieve a flawless appearance suitable for painting or other finishes.
- Install drywall accessories such as fixtures, trims, moldings, and corner beads to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
- Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, masons, and other trades to coordinate installation sequences and ensure seamless integration of building components.
- Perform repairs related to water damage restoration or mold remediation by assessing damage and applying appropriate finishing techniques.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols throughout each project phase.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Drywall Finisher or in related construction trades such as plastering, framing, or carpentry.
- Skilled in drywall installation, taping, sanding, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and fixture installation.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols; experience working on diverse construction sites is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with specialty skills including water damage restoration, mold remediation, flooring installation, tile laying, airless paint spraying, metal stud framing, masonry work, remodeling projects, plumbing (including construction plumbing), and restoration industry practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining quality standards.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.69 per hour
