Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety protocols to ensure reliable and compliant electrical operations. The Electrician will play a vital role in supporting our projects' success by delivering quality workmanship and adhering to project timelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations
- Conduct routine inspections using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to diagnose issues
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete wiring tasks on construction sites
- Work collaboratively with construction teams, including frame carpenters and other trades, to coordinate project activities
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for project documentation
- Identify potential electrical hazards and implement safety measures proactively
- Assist in the planning and layout of electrical systems based on blueprints and schematics
- Support high voltage and low voltage electrical systems installation as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage, high voltage, and power distribution
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Familiarity with the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety practices
- Experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws
- Ability to operate testing equipment including ohmmeters, ammeters, and schematics analyzers
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient workflow management
- Knowledge of framing carpentry is a plus for integrating electrical components into structural elements
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing electrical issues
- Valid electrician license or certification preferred
