About the Role
Our drivers are the face of the company and a key point of contact for the customers we serve. As a Local Delivery Driver, you'll deliver fresh, refrigerated products to schools, grocery stores, and coffee shops along a daily route — and just as importantly, you'll build trusted relationships with each account, answer questions, and resolve issues on the spot. This is a high-touch, customer-first role: you'll interact with customers at every stop, represent the company professionally, and make sure each delivery leaves the customer satisfied. Beyond service, you'll safely operate a refrigerated box truck, carefully handle temperature-sensitive product, and protect the cold chain from the dock to the customer's cooler. If you take pride in great service and dependable delivery, we'd love to meet you. Our local routes get you home every day.
Why Work With Us
We're putting down roots in San Antonio for the long haul, and we're building this team to last. Joining us now means getting in early and helping shape something from the ground up, backed by the stability of a company committed to being part of this community for years to come. We believe great service starts with great people, and we're committed to building lasting relationships with every customer we serve — and to supporting the drivers who make that possible. If you want to be part of a strong start and grow alongside us, this is the place.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Issue Resolution
- Act as the primary point of contact and the face of the company at every school, grocery store, and coffee shop on your route.

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with recurring accounts.
- Confirm orders, answer questions, and accommodate customer requests whenever possible.
- Identify and resolve delivery issues quickly, professionally, and to the customer's satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and complaints in the moment, escalating to the team when needed.
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise products in customer coolers and displays (where applicable), keeping them clean and well organized.
- Gather and relay customer feedback, requests, and account needs back to the team.
Refrigerated Product Handling & Cold Chain
- Maintain the cold chain at all times — keep refrigerated products at proper temperature from loading through final delivery.
- Operate and monitor the truck's refrigeration unit; check and log temperatures throughout the route as required.
- Load and unload product efficiently to minimize temperature exposure, keeping cargo doors closed and cold-storage time to a minimum.
- Handle temperature-sensitive product carefully to prevent damage, leaks, and spoilage; inspect for damage and check code/expiration dates.
- Rotate stock using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices and manage product dating to ensure freshness.
- Follow all food safety, cold-storage, and sanitation standards; keep the truck and refrigerated cargo area clean and sanitary.
Driving & Route Operations
- Safely operate a refrigerated box truck on assigned local routes in compliance with all DOT, federal, state, and company regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes, adjusting for traffic, weather, delivery windows, and customer needs.
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including the refrigeration unit, and report any issues promptly.
- Stay compliant with hours-of-service rules and complete electronic logs (ELD) as required.
Documentation & Vehicle Care
- Verify order accuracy, obtain proof of delivery/signatures, and keep accurate delivery and temperature records.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch about delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, organized, fueled, and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) — Class A or Class B.
- Current DOT medical certification, or the ability to obtain one.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills — this is a high-interaction role, and a friendly, professional, solution-oriented approach is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues calmly and effectively.
- [1–2]+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred; food, beverage, or refrigerated/perishable delivery experience a plus.

- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving, and food safety and cold-chain practices.

- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable with early morning start times.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Load and unload product by hand and with equipment (hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, lift gates) throughout the shift.

- Bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods.
