Job Overview
We are currently hiring experienced Concrete Form Carpenters / Concrete Finishers to support construction work at the TDCJ Rosharon facility. This role involves building concrete forms, pouring concrete, and finishing concrete surfaces to required specifications. This is a secure job site, and background clearance is required prior to employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, set, and strip concrete forms (wood, metal, or modular systems)
- Prepare sites for concrete pours, including layout, grading, and reinforcement placement
- Pour, spread, and finish concrete surfaces (slabs, footings, walls, curbs, etc.)
- Use hand and power tools to smooth, level, and finish concrete
- Ensure concrete work meets quality, safety, and project specifications
- Work closely with supervisors and other trades on site
- Follow all site safety rules and procedures, especially within a secure facility
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Form Carpenter and/or Concrete Finisher
- Ability to read basic drawings or layout instructions
- Strong understanding of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques
- Reliable transportation to the Rosharon job site
- Ability to pass security background checks required for TDCJ facilities
- Physically able to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions
Security Requirement (Important)
Due to the job location at a TDCJ facility, all candidates must:
- Pass a criminal background check
- Meet site security clearance requirements
(Candidates who do not pass security screening will not be considered.)
