Role Overview
This is a hybrid shoot-and-edit role embedded inside a marketing agency. You'll own video from concept to delivery across multiple client accounts — that means developing ideas, building shot lists, going on-site to film, editing, adding captions, and getting content approved before it ships. You'll be active in Slack, working directly with account managers and social media leads on tight turnaround windows.
What You'll Do
- Develop video concepts and shot lists based on client goals, pain points, and campaign briefs provided by AMs
- Write scripts for videos before shoots and submit for review prior to filming
- Travel to client locations for on-site shoots (e.g., detailing shops, boat dealerships, construction sites, showrooms)
- Film a wide variety of content: social reels, paid media ads, B-roll, lifestyle content, product showcases, and behind-the-scenes
- Edit all footage — cuts, text overlays, captions, B-roll integration, logo placement, and pacing for short-form video
- Source and incorporate client-provided footage, YouTube clips, and raw assets into finished edits when original footage isn't available
- Manage multiple client videos simultaneously with a standard 5-day delivery window
- Submit finished videos to account leads for approval before client delivery
- Iterate quickly based on feedback (e.g., hooks, caption edits, text overlay changes)
- Schedule approved social content on platforms when needed
- Contribute to social media content ideas, captions, and graphics for client accounts you're assigned to
What We're Looking For
- Strong eye for short-form video: you understand hooks, pacing, and what works on Instagram and TikTok
- Comfortable on-site: you can show up to a client location, lead a shoot, and get usable footage independently
- Fast editor: you're used to shipping multiple videos per week across different clients
- Good communicator in Slack: you proactively update AMs on timelines and flag issues early
- Takes feedback well and revises quickly without needing hand-holding
- Bonus: experience writing captions and social copy to accompany videos
Clients You'd Work With
Boat dealerships, home services, construction/builders, detailing shops, marine brands, and other local/regional businesses.
Pay: $24.66 - $30.00 per hour
