Meadows Montessori School in Ferndale is currently hiring for an afternoon Flex Assistant and a part-time Spanish Instructor.
Those with Montessori experience or experience working in early childhood or elementary education and an interest in adapting their skills in our Montessori environment are encouraged to apply. For our early childhood programs, candidates who already hold their DCYF STARS certification preferred, but not required. Hourly wage commensurate with experience. Inquiries welcome!
ECE/Elementary Afternoon Flex Assistant & After Care Coordinator: Working with children ages 15 months - 12 years.
M-F, 1:15pm - 5:00pm
This support role works with all programs of the school, covering breaks for full-time staff, as well as supporting Elementary recess and P.E. The Afternoon Flex Assistant also serves as the school’s After Care Coordinator, creating a supportive environment after the school day for children ages 3-6 years old.
Spanish Instructor
Tu & W, 12:45-2:30; Th & F, 1:00-2:00
This position can be combined with the Afternoon Flex/After Care Coordinator position or be a separate position. The Meadows Montessori School Spanish Instructor works with children ages 5 - 12 years, offering Spanish language lessons in small groups on a weekly basis. Teaching credentials not required. A love of language and desire to work with K-6th grade aged students required!

Requirements:
- Must be willing to complete a Background Record Check
- Complete all DCYF requirements within 30 days
- Have an interest in childhood development and the Montessori approach
- Ability to move/bend in full range of total body mobility
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Comfortable spending 15-45 minutes outside in all kinds of weather
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
