Position Summary: Provide high-quality primary medical care to children from birth to 21 years, including routine check-ups, immunizations, developmental screenings, and management of acute illnesses.
The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Direct Care:

Conduct comprehensive assessments, including vision, hearing, and growth monitoring, as well as blood tests for various conditions

Diagnose and treat common childhood ailments and minor injuries

Offer specialized services such as autism screening, asthma management, mental health assessments, and obesity counseling

Recommend patients for further treatments and to specialists when needed

Engage with patients’ families to educate on health, safety, nutrition, and injury prevention

Communicate and engage with families/legal guardians while explaining complex medical information clearly
Collaboration:
-
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

Attend and participate in clinic, provider, and all staff meetings
-
Participate in pre-visit planning activities with the other members of the care team

Engage in health promotion activities and recruitment efforts for the site
Compliance:
-
Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR (ECW) and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Record and maintain the health and development information of the patient

Complete EMR documentation, billing, and patient-related paperwork in a timely manner

Provide input for the development of electronic medical record templates

Participate in night and weekend call shared among clinicians
-
Provide follow-up on incidents and patient complaints as needed

Provide input in the development of policies and procedures regarding pediatric patients.

Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and state/federal regulations

Perform other duties as required or assigned

Doctor of Medicine specializing in pediatrics and a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred

Board eligible/certification, required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Current and valid NYS license
-
Current DEA certificate
-
Current infection control certificate
-
Excellent bedside manner
-
Proficiency in Spanish or South Asian language is preferred

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings.
