Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ski and/or bike repair shop.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern bikes and the latest biking technologies.
- Ski and bike tech experience is required. Must be willing to learn other services (tunes and repairs).
- Open-minded with strong communication skills to foster customer relationships.
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and informative manner, regardless of their experience or knowledge.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet for extended periods.
- Full-time employment of 32+ hours per week, including some weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Functions:
For Bike Technician Duties:
- Complete tunes and repairs promptly according to deadlines set by customers and management. Skills should include stellar tunes, wheel trues, brake bleeds, fork service, and complete bike builds.
- Sell merchandise in the bike shop, including retail bikes, components, and protective gear.
- Maintain a clean and organized bike shop environment.
- Ensure a safe workspace by adhering to all safety regulations within the Service Department.
- Participate in regularly scheduled staff/service meetings and events.
For Ski Technician Duties:
- Perform ski and snowboard tunes, including edge sharpening, waxing, and base repairs.
- Understand and implement binding adjustments and safety checks for ski and snowboard equipment.
- Diagnose and fix issues related to ski/snowboard performance and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and maintenance tips to customers.
- Stay current with ski industry trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations.
