Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Full or Part-Time Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)! Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, IV insertion, and administration of medications.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and sample processing to support accurate diagnoses.
- Support anesthesia protocols by monitoring vital signs, managing anesthesia equipment, and ensuring patient safety during surgeries.
- Handle patient care duties including feeding, grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Handle reception and front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking out clients, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and other diagnostic imaging devices.
- Provide pet care and animal handling expertise for a variety of species including dogs, cats, and equines.
- Maintain detailed medical records, ensure aseptic techniques are followed, and assist with emergency medicine procedures when needed.
Requirements
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in dog training, pet grooming, and animal restraint techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Certification or experience in veterinary technician work or veterinary assistant roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided for motivated candidates.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
