Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Devils Lake, ND
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- 5x8 Shifts
- 40 Hours per Week
Setting: Outpatient Therapy
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for an outpatient therapy assignment. Candidates must have inpatient and/or outpatient therapy experience and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapy services based on patient diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, assistive devices, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning and discharge coordination
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately within EPIC EMR
- Identify changes in patient conditions and communicate appropriately with healthcare teams
- Coordinate therapy schedules and ensure efficient patient care delivery
- Provide clinical supervision and support to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) as required
- Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required
- Inpatient and/or outpatient therapy experience required
- Active North Dakota Occupational Therapist license required upon acceptance
- NBCOT OTR/L certification required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills required
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
