Job Overview
JSaray Underground Corp is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Utility Line Locator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately locating underground utility lines to ensure safety and compliance on construction sites. This is a field-based position, and JSaray Underground Corp will provide the necessary tools, and equipment. The candidate must have vehicle and valid driver’s license. A vehicle and fuel allowance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform utility line inspections using specialized locating equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and site plans to accurately identify underground utilities.
- Record and document all findings clearly and accurately.
- Communicate with crews, and team members to share utility locations and resolve on-site issues.
- Travel to various sites according to the company's schedule.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of land surveying and utility locating principles.
- Experience with utility locating tools (e.g., electromagnetic or GPR).
- Familiarity with cable systems and their layouts.
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience as a field technician or locator is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must have vehicle a valid driver’s license .
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, as communication with Spanish-speaking clients and team members may be required.
