The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Senior Forestry Supervisor in the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to direct the City's forestry program, including oversight of program operations and personnel. The forestry program includes citywide tree planting, pruning, shaping, and removal.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to completion of high school and five (5) years of increasingly responsible journey-level experience which included two (2) years at the supervisory level equivalent to the City's Forestry Climber Supervisor classification.
Other requirements include possession of a valid class "B" California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, and willingness to work out of doors in all weather conditions.
In addition to the qualifications above, the ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in urban forestry and the ability to work with a team. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
