Overview
We are seeking a dedicated cat sitter to join our team for seasonal work , weekends and holidays. While this is a fun job, we take our jobs seriously and require our cat sitters to pay great attention to detail and have excellent communication skills. If you have a passion for cats and enjoy providing top-notch care for cats, this role just might work for you.
This job is perfect if you are looking for supplemental or seasonal income in a non-office environment. If you are looking for full-time stead employment, this is not the right job for you. If you are looking for a part-time job and are able to work when clients need you, you may be a good fit.
You must be reliable as our clients depend on us to provide care to their feline family members.
Schedule
We work when our clients need us. We don’t guarantee schedules, we work early morning and evenings, weekends and holidays. We cannot guarantee a set number of hours or visits per week because we make assignments when our clients make reservations. A typical schedule might consist of a visit between 7 AM and 9 AM and an evening visit between 5 PM and 7 PM or a midday visit between 10 AM and 1 PM. We try to create our schedules well in advance, but scheduling is dependent on the client scheduling. We often have last minute requests. You will be expected to work on major holidays.

We provide cat sitting services in the Nashville area (37221, 37209, 37205, 37201, 37203, 37204, 37208, 37210, 37212, 37215, 37228 zip codes). Our ideal candidate would live in our service area.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to cats in their own homes
- Feed and play with cats according to their specific needs
- Administer medications or treatments as instructed by pet owners
- Maintain cleanliness of pet areas and ensure a safe environment
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' well-being
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners for each individual pet
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in cat care and cats
- Ability to handle various cats with care and compassion
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different cat care routines
- Willingness to work on weekends and holidays. You will be expected to work on major holidays.
- We use a pet sitting app that requires a smart phone.
This is not a full-time position nor an independent contractor position. We hire employees. Our service area is in the Bellevue and West Nashville area particularly in the following zip codes: 37221, 37209, 37205, 37201, 37203, 37204, 37208, 37210, 37212, 37215, 37228
Pay
A 30 minute visit pays $13. You will spend on average around 15 minutes driving between client homes. So, for 45 minutes of work (client visit plus drive time) you will be paid $13 which is the equivalent of $17 per hour. Additionally, we pay mileage and you will receive 100% of tips. The average sitter earns about $20 per hour when you include mileage.
