We are seeking reliable and dedicated PRN Floaters to join our team. This position is designed to cover last-minute call-outs, new cases, and current cases. Flexibility is key, as shifts may include both days and nights depending on staffing needs.
Responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional (DSP):
To assist people who need support to lead a safe, self-directed life and to participate fully in their communities. Aid in assisting with activities of daily living if needed and encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. As a DSP, you, may provide supports & services at home, work, and other community places that are person-centered.
Direct Support Professional (typical) Duties:
To assist persons with IDD/DD with daily living skills that insures a safe and meaningful environment which includes:
- food preparation (shopping, preparing, and cooking meals)
- personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- housekeeping (laundry, wiping, sweeping, mopping)
- community participation (recreational or leisure activities that support new relationships as well as maintain existing relationships)
- MUST BE ABLE TO DOCUMENT DAILY PROGRESS
Required license or certification:
- Clean criminal background
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal vehicle for reliable transportation
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to adapt quickly to new assignments and environments
- Smart Phone (Apple, Android, etc)
