The City of Rosemount is accepting applications for part-time Building Attendants at the Rosemount Community Center/Ice Arena and Rosemount Steeple Center. Approximately 6 - 20 hours/week working weekends, primarily Sundays, and occasionally evenings depending on scheduled activities.
The Building Attendant performs work monitoring and maintaining city facilities and grounds, coordinating minor maintenance and repairs, performs landscaping and custodial tasks, providing customer service, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Recreation Facilities Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Cleans and maintains city facilities; sweeps and vacuums floors; maintains walls, tables, and chairs; empties waste baskets and disposes materials.

Operates and maintains assigned equipment.

Maintains assigned equipment and ensures proper functionality.

Provides customer service and assists the general public with inquiries; directs inquiries to the appropriate resource as needed.

Performs room and equipment set ups; arranges tables and chairs; sets up and operates audiovisual equipment; assists with programing and activity set up as needed.

Maintains facility security; monitors events and provides crowd control as needed.

Monitors and maintains supply inventory; reorders supplies as needed.

Monitors HVAC and other building equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Maintains Park shelters; conducts minor outdoor maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal.

Attends training and other meetings as required.

Other duties as assigned.
Duties specific to the Ice Arena/Community Center:-
Monitors arena mechanical systems and air quality.

Investigates mechanical problems and performs minor repairs; replaces light bulbs, filters, and performs minor repair of door hardware.

May operate ice re-surfacer/ice edger; performs other ice making procedures depending on work assignment.
