Saint Sebastian Catholic School is seeking a collaborative, compassionate, and self-directed individual to serve as a Full-Time Instructional Assistant for the 2026–27 school year.
The Instructional Assistant works closely with classroom teachers and the Learning Specialist to support students with diverse learning needs through one-on-one instruction, small-group interventions, and classroom support. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and committed to helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally within a faith-filled learning community.

Knowledge & Education
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting preferred
- Experience supporting students with special education needs or diverse learning needs strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Classroom, and Google Calendar)
- Practicing Catholic preferred, with a commitment to supporting Catholic education
- Satisfactory background check and completion of Safeguarding God's Children requirements

Duties & Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one and with small groups of students to reinforce academic skills and learning goals
- Support students with diverse learning needs as directed by classroom teachers and Student Support Team
- Assist students in developing organizational, social, and self-advocacy skills
- Encourage student independence while providing appropriate academic and behavioral support
- Help implement accommodations and classroom strategies to support student success
Classroom Support
- Assist classroom teachers during instruction, learning centers, and classroom activities
- Prepare instructional materials and organize learning resources
- Monitor student engagement and provide assistance during independent and group work
- Support a safe, inclusive, and faith-filled classroom environment
- Supervise students during assigned instructional periods, recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, or other school activities as assigned
Collaboration
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers and school staff to support student growth
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding student information
- Communicate professionally with staff and families as directed

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
