American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring strong cardiac monitoring experience, an Alabama or compact RN license, and night shift availability.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
-
Prior experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown settings required
-
Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
Floating to Med/Surg units required
-
Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills are essential

Proficiency required in IV insertion, Heparin protocols, and cardiac drip management (no titration)
-
Active Alabama RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand or pending
-
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS

Minimum of 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Experience with IV insertion, Heparin protocols, and cardiac drip management

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a different rate

RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the assignment

Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position

Hospital-provided housing is available on-site and is the recommended option given the remote location; shared units with private bedrooms and shared common spaces, available in male or female units only; no dogs permitted; travelers coordinate housing directly with the facility

The facility offers flight reimbursement for travel to and from the assignment; economy-class only, and detailed flight and luggage receipts must be submitted for reimbursement

Flight itinerary must be submitted one week prior to the start date; the facility will assist with airport pickup upon arrival
