American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and a SC or compact RN license.
-
Work in the Labor and Delivery/LDRP unit of an acute care hospital
-
Provide couplet care and high-risk OB patient care
-
Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45p - 7:15a)
-
Required to work every third weekend
-
On-call requirement of two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
-
No floating required outside of the unit
-
Uses Epic for charting and Omnicell for medication administration
-
Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP
-
Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced and STABLE
-
Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
AHA-issued certifications only
-
Social Security number and driver's license required for consideration

Provide postpartum couplet care and support for high-risk OB patients
-
Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
First-time travelers accepted

Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration

Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is dependent on unit needs

During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
