We have a problem.
Interesting things happen around here almost every day.
A client asks a question we have never heard before.
A negotiation gets interesting.
Someone explains something in a way that would have made a great video.
Then we realize nobody hit record.
We are looking for someone who can change that.
The Jeff Probst Group is a real estate sales and investment company based in Centerville, Ohio. We buy and sell homes, renovate investment properties, and recruit agents. We believe the best content comes from real conversations, not manufacturing something because the calendar says we need to post today.
This is not a role limited to shooting and editing video. The person in this position must think in terms of social media from start to finish: generate ideas for content, plan and write it, shoot it, edit it, and deliver finished pieces to the marketing department in a format ready to post. You will be responsible for the full cycle—from noticing a usable moment or developing an original idea through to a polished file that can go live.
What the role involves
- Generate ongoing ideas for social media content based on real conversations, listings, investment properties, and day-to-day work
- Plan and write content (scripts, outlines, or talking points as needed)
- Film and edit video and related assets at listings, properties, meetings, and other locations where useful material appears
- Turn a single conversation or event into multiple ready-to-post pieces
- Deliver finished content to marketing in the formats and specs required for posting
- Work with marketing leadership to turn broader direction into content people actually watch
You will have input on creative decisions, and you will also be the person who makes sure ideas do not remain stuck in notes or drafts.
Who tends to succeed in this kind of role
- You have a portfolio of work you personally filmed and edited with a strong track record of algorithmic success
- You regularly notice moments or angles that would work as social content
- You can take an idea from concept through planning, production, editing, and delivery without needing constant direction
- You finish projects
- You care more about content people watch than about technical showpieces that mainly impress other videographers
- You are comfortable interrupting a conversation to capture something usable
Real estate experience is not required. The ability to think like a social media content creator is.
Schedule and compensation
This role will start at approximately 20–30 hours per week and is expected to grow into a full-time position if it is a great fit for everyone. We are still shaping the exact contours of the role. We would rather find the right person for the role, and build the position with them in view
